The Evangelical Covenant Church is a rapidly growing multi-ethnic denomination of more than 750 congregations in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. Founded in 1885 by Swedish Immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the Word of God, the gift of God's grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God's love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.
The denomination consists of 750 congregations in the United States and abroad. The largest Covenant churches in the Sacramento area are First Covenant on Highway 50 and Bayside Church in Granite Bay.
You can find links to the national and Pacific Southwest Region sites to learn more. Several times a year our church sends groups to conferences at Mission Springs Christian Camps and Conference Center near Scotts Valley in the Santa Cruz mountains.
The denomination is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, where it owns and operates North Park University, a four-year liberal arts college, and North Park Seminary.
