The mission of Children's Ministries is to create and provide an environment where children can experience, learn about, respond to and grow in the truth and love of Jesus Christ. To partner with families to reach and teach children about the truth and love of Jesus Christ.
We offer the following Sunday Ministries:
Sunday School - The foundation of our Children's Ministries Program is held at 9:15 AM each Sunday. It is open to children of all ages, nursery through 6th grade. During this hour the children will receive a deeper understanding of God's Word. They will learn The Bible and how to study it. This vital program will lay the foundation upon which your child will build a strong Christian faith. While attending the Adult Sunday School Program, have your child attend Sunday School.
Nursery - This is offered for all children age 6 weeks to 2 years old. The staff lovingly cares for your children as you attend the Worship Service and Sunday School. God's love is tenderly bestowed upon our littlest of churchgoers by a staff that has been screened and trained.
Kid's Club - 11:00 A.M. Potty trained 2 and 3 year olds will enjoy learning about God through a story and many Bible activities. Your preschooler will learn about God, His Word and about His unending love for them. A day at the water table may teach your child about Noah's Ark, Jesus walking on the water, or about God's wonderful creation. A trip on the streets of our town rug may teach the children about Paul's journeys, about Jesus' many trips to spread the good news, and how God also wants us to share God's love with others. Whatever the activity or story, our loving staff will strive to apply the Bible to your children's lives.
Children's Worship - Children 4 through 4th grade are invited to attend this hands-on activity time during 11:00 AM service. The children will be presented a Bible story and several activity centers from which to choose. The activities include crafts, games, snack and manipulatives. All the activities will apply that day's Bible story and apply the biblical concept to the children's lives. As the children play board games they may learn the seriousness of their choices. As the children play with Legos the may learn about the walls of Jericho and how difficult it was for the walls to come tumbling down. While making a craft, the children may visually discover God's creation or memorize that day's verse. As the children work on the different activities, the staff will direct their conversation toward that day's lesson and teach them as they play.
Club 56! - This club is specifically designed for our 5th and 6th graders. While applying the Bible to the children's lives, the leaders tackle many of the issues our children are bombarded with each and every day. An emphasis is made on decision making and what God would want us to do. This club participates in many service projects and a whole lot of fun. It meets during 2nd service except on the first Sunday of the month. Encourage your child to attend this program to help them with many decisions they are faced with daily. (no Club 56 during summer)
AWANA - A unique club for boys and girls ages 3 years through 6th grade. We meet from 6:30 - 8:00 PM., Wednesday nights. It meets October through April. This program combines the excitement of team competition and Bible memory work and leaves the children growing spiritually and excited to return for more each week. Each evening is divided into three segments: Handbook Time, Council Time and Game Time. During Handbook Time the children memorize key Bible verses. Memory verses and activities are outlined in the handbook. Council time is a time of songs, announcements and a Bible lesson. Game time includes team competition with games such as beanbag relays and balloon battles. Throughout the year, several special events are offered. They include a Bring your parent to club night and the AWANA Grand Prix. There is a one-time registration fee and weekly dues.
